What would light be without darkness, would we exist?

Saturday February 28th 2009: So, by the sight of a painting a story was born. But as this story passes far beyond the limit of the sixth sense, will anyone understand??? Do we need to understand art? Not really, it’s the feeling and what we see in it that counts and with a spoonful of imagination added, this tale came true. Or, do you see things differently than I?

In the very beginning only light and darkness exist. They existed as each other’s contradictions, but not all so. The border, the barrier between them, made it look that way, but the thing was that darkness was light too, but sort of the opposite way. Darkness didn’t emit light, instead darkness absorbed it.

This had the effect that darkness grew the more light it absorbed and at the same time light got smaller and smaller. Darkness expanded wide to become the universe we know today. But as darkness swelled out like a balloon, cracks on its surface began to show. This was something new and through the very first thin crack, light began to leak out. This was the light darkness had absorbed throughout ages. Light saw this crack like looking in a mirror and light that long ago had vanished from its surface, now was reflecting back.

However, the crack was so thin that light couldn’t slip through as a mass, instead and for the first time light came out in colors. The full color spectrum was pouring out in random and projected on light’s surface. Light felt that colored touch and immediately responded. Light, before so even and crispy white all over its surface, began to wrinkle and shift in color too like a light show announcing a grand opening, a premiere, of something new never seen before.

At one point the shifts in the reflected light matched with the light surface it was projected on and like a key opening up a secret box a new light was born. The new light started to grow, but it didn’t just grow by itself. All those colors that in the same way got through the crack, harmonizing with the light surface, added to its growth. It could be any color, and time made them line up like a colored ray of light unique and different from anything ever seen before.

Light enjoyed the feeling of this new and different light starting to grow on its surface and this happy feeling made light continue its search for more ways to interact with this new born child. The energy exchanged made the child of light glow and the bonds feeding it grew stronger. This was the universe’s first sign of life and those first bonds were emotions. These same emotions guide us in life today and we need them like air to stay alive.

The happiness light felt made it emit even more light and as a result darkness absorbed further more making its surface crackle all over and the billion and yet billion rays of colored light that then let lose made light start to reproduce. Darkness changed character and the cracks all over its surface we today call stars. Those rays of light they emit are life; it’s us, the persons we are. Looking out in darkness you see nothing, but the energy that made you is still there to guide you.

Happiness is like a guiding star and now you know how it all started. But where does it all end??? Well, I haven’t seen that painting yet.
