I was really struck by this post because I'm an archaeologist and I always look at landscapes both in the present and in the past, layered on top of each other, hiding and showing various aspects. To hear someone else talking about it, who does not look into the past on a professional level, is neat! I was in Sweden just over a year ago and your landscape is just...magical.
